Is a Rod Machado Pilot Book copyrighted in 2004 a good one to use?

I’m thinking of buying a Rod Machado Private Pilot Book that was copyrighted in October 2004. Is that a good one to use to help me get my certificate or should buy the new one?
I would say you should not have too many problems using the old book. Not too many things have changed in the last 5 years. Little things that have changed recently are flight service stations, types of NOTAMs and how you obtain those NOTAMs during a weather briefing from flight service, and duration of medical certificates. I would think most information like that should be able to be discussed and figured out with and instructor and should not be a hindrance in receiving your certificate.

I would go with the most recent addition. While it’s true that there’s very little new information since 2004 he may have thought of other ways to improve the book (i.e. maybe he thought of a better way to explain something, etc).
Just my two cents.
