Do you have any embarrassing underwear stories?
promise I wont laugh!

Here’s mine: When my family came to visit me my freshman year of college we were all sitting in my dorm room and my younger sister saw one of my thongs on top of my clothes hamper. She held it up and was like "oooooo nice thong Christina." What made it worse was that it was from Victoria’s Secret "Sexy Little Things" collection so it was like really skimpy and little bows on it. I was sooooo embarrassed and i’m not sure my parents enjoyed seeing their "little girl’s" skimpy underwear.

And like two weeks later I was doing laundry but I was late to get my clothes and somebody had taken them out so they were sitting on top of the dryer when I got there. When I walked in there were like four guys standing near the dryers right next to me so they all saw my pile of clothes and several pairs of my underwear were right on top and they were like smirking the whole time so I know they saw them! It was really embarrassing too since most of my underwear comes from Victoria’s Secret PINK so they said things like "Most Likely to be Famous" "Head of the Class" and one even had little dogs all over it. As I was walking away I heard one of the guys say ‘dont you guys love pink." As soon as I heard it my face turned bright red and I hurried out of there

sometimes when i leave my messy room door open my dog always sneaks in steals my under wear and eats it he does it to everyone im not kidding.

martitabeyoncefan | Nov 27, 2009

this happened to this girl i know:

she was walking and she slipped in the hallway and the butt of her jeans got a huge hole in it! the worst pary? she was wearing a thong so ppl saw everything!
Annie | Nov 27, 2009

About the only thing is when we were talking about the difference between thongs and G-strings at lunch (funny enough, that’s one of our milder conversations) and then someone asked around if any of us have worn a thong. And being juniors in high school doesn’t make it seem like a big deal, but we live in a foot-washing baptist super-conservative part of the country. Like, every other girl but one said no. And I was like yeah, I had to wear one when I was wearing these super tight pants for a Halloween costume. And then when I went to Florida and sunburned my butt (I was wearing swimsuit bottoms, it’s just my regular underwear covered more area than the swimsuit did) and I had to wear a thong it hurt so bad.

So my friends thought it was funny that I burnt my butt in Florida, because they were all really jealous that I went and came back with a crazy tan (I went in October and missed three days of school.)

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. What one person may think is beautiful, someone else can think the complete opposite. There is beauty in almost everyone and in everything. However, the media is preoccupied with physical beauty, making people think they need to look a certain way to be considered beautiful and healthy. How do you think the 2009 Auburn Tigers will do?

Posted by christianrasmussen1981 on 28th November 2009

Be realistic on how Auburn will do. We have a great coaching staff and the QBs have really improved.
Schedule:
vs. Louisiana Tech (6:00 CT, ESPNU)
vs. Mississippi State (6:00 CT, FSN)
vs. West Virginia (6:45 CT, ESPN or ESPN2)
vs. Ball State
at Tennessee
at Arkansas
vs. Kentucky
at LSU
vs. Ole Miss
vs. Furman
at UGA
vs. Alabama (1:30 CT, CBS)

I think we’ll be in a bowl game.
Wow. I was expecting to get "Auburn sucks 3-9" blasted at me within seconds of asking the question. Shocking. lol
Edit: I know about 5 Auburn fans on this site alone. And Auburn has 3,000,000 or so fans who care. And do you think Florida and Ole Miss and Alabama and LSU and Georgia care about beating Auburn? Tebow hasn’t beaten Auburn. I hereby block you. Not for thinking we stink, for being a f*cking troll.
Joseph B. I don’t usually insult anyone except Bama (naturally). I generally am nice about LSU. But I have to shut up the dumber SEC fans who make us all look bad. And insulting does the trick. I think LSU will be good, and I don’t expect to beat LSU.

Beat LT
Beat Mississippi State
Loose to West Virginia
Beat Ball State
Beat Tennessee
Beat Arkansas
Beat Kentucky
Loose to LSU
Beat Overatted Ole Miss
Loose to furman…… Kidding!!!
Loose to Georgia (close)
UPSET Alabama!
I like RB Ben Tate but the offense doesn’t have any home run hitter at RB. Their defense? It’s Auburn for christ sakes!
I like QB Neil Caudle (Hope he starts) and coach Gene Chizick because YOU saw how good of a D Coord he was for Auburn’s undefeated season and for Texas. They have a better staff and easier schedule than last year. 10-2 and 2nd place in SEC West ranked 10th. Play in a January bowl game.

Atheist | Aug 11, 2009

Auburn is a very good SEC team. I dont think they should have fired Tuberville but thats not the point. Judging from what I’ve seen about Auburn, they can probably get to 8-4 or so and win a bowl game. LSU’s going to be tough but it could go either way. Ole Miss is a solid program, and your two rivalry games at the end of the season will be tough as always. I see Auburn crushing their first 2 opponents, getting by WV, beating Ball state and the other three. I think you guys can go into Death valley undefeated but then it will get tough. LSU has a vicious defense and Ole Miss had jevan Snead at QB. But you guys will put up 50+ points on Furman before going between the hedges. if Chizik does a good job of keeping the team focused though, I dont see why you guys cant get to 9-3 in all.
Blake N | Aug 11, 2009

They I think will do great. I really think they will have a top bowl game this year.
High Steptoing | Aug 11, 2009

The will lose to LSU, Ole Miss, Alabama and Tennessee.

They most likely will get to a Bowl game. Auburn is good but the SEC is full of great teams.
~Buccos~ | Aug 11, 2009

I predict that they will go somewhere between 6-6 and 9-3, depending on how well they adjust to Gus Malzahn’s offense. I think they will surprise some people next year, and in all honesty I wouldn’t be surprised if they upset Alabama. I know Tide fans will think I’m crazy for saying it, but they are only 2-7 against Auburn this decade and they play AT Jordan-Hare Stadium. QB play is very important on this year’s success – Kodi Burns and Chris Todd were extremely inconsistent and it cost them some close games (LSU, Arkansas, UGA, Ole Miss). If the QB play improves and if the defense plays strong as usual, they could rise up and contend for the West again.
Potatums | Aug 11, 2009

Auburn sucks 3-9

Hey, you asked…

No, really, this is what I think. I see them winning about 5-7 games. The toss-ups are Tennessee, Arkansas, and Kentucky.

Actually I backtrack here. I don’t know anything about West Virginia. Maybe 5-8 wins then. I don’t think Chizik is a good coach at all but he does have some good assistants.
Colonel Reb | Aug 12, 2009

first off, let me start by saying i’m an Alabama fan, through and through.. that being said, let’s take a look into a team i hate :)

Louisiana Tech
they scheduled LT for the same reason any SEC team schedules LT: to win.. if they lose here, it will be a very long season.. but i’ll give them the win..

Mississippi State
now, alot of people think Mississippi St. is a pushover, but let me remind you that in the SEC any team has a shot at the upset.. i’ll give Auburn the win, but not by much, and don’t be surprised if Mississippi St comes up with a way to win..

West Virginia
last year, i wouldn’t given this game to WV, but since Pat White’s gone, i’ll give it to Auburn..

Ball State
should be a win..

Tennessee
honestly, i hate Tennessee more than i hate Auburn.. i think Kiffin’s digging himself into a hole with his mouth.. this game could go either way: you’re both young teams with new coaches, but i’ll give it to Auburn..

Arkansas
should be a win.. there’s no reason Arkansas should win anymore games ever.. Bobby Petrino is a bitch..

Kentucky
Kentucky is alot like Mississippi State, only better.. this one goes either way, but since it’s at Jordan-Hare, i’ll give it to Auburn..

LSU
now, here’s where your season comes to a grinding halt.. not because LSU is great, because they’re ridiculously overrated.. but because Auburn always get too cocky around this time of season, especially if they go this long without losing.. plus you’re playing IN Death Valley, and that’s always a tough one.. just hope it’s a day game, because we all know what happens when night falls over Death Valley…

Ole Miss
if Ole Miss turns out as good as everyone thinks (even though they won’t), then i gotta give this one to the Rebs.. plus, with Auburn coming off what i think will be a huge loss to LSU, it’ll be tough to regroup..

Furman
if you don’t win this, you’ll never have my respect again..

UGA
other than Tennessee, there is one other team that i hate more than Auburn, and that’s UGA.. something about those silly Bulldogs just irks me.. so i hope you guys beat UGA this year.. here’s some advice from Tide Nation: don’t fear the blackout ;)

Alabama
now, now, now.. i’m not even sure i need to address this one, because we’ll be in a fistfight soon enough.. Auburn isn’t gonna be strong this season, so anyone that expects Auburn to win this game just hasn’t been paying attention.. had you guys kept Tubbs around (and you should have), you might have beaten us.. but Auburn will absolutely not win this game.. i promise :)

9-3 isn’t bad.. i think you guys will be ok..

in the meantime, ROLL TIDE ROLL :)
photol | Aug 12, 2009

Norry I am not going to insult the Auburn tigers the way you insult LSU. They will be close in a lot of games but no cigars. The odds say 4-9 maby you may do better if you would play every game like you played against LSU.
Joseph B | Aug 12, 2009

GO AUBURN TIGERS! I hope better than last year. The head coach is suppost to be a great recruiter. I hope we can beat Alabama and win enough games to make it to a bowl game. WAR EAGLE!

P.S. Where are you from? The state of Alabama? The South East? I was just wondering because its nice to see another Auburn fan on Yahoo! Answers.
Krystal L | Aug 12, 2009

7-5
Stewie | Aug 12, 2009

They win 5. You can probably pick out the 5 of the list they will beat..

Is my stock now just more concentrate?

Posted by christianrasmussen1981 on 27th November 2009

I have just made giblet stock but I think I have reduced it a little too much and do not have loads of liquid left. Does this mean that what liquid is left is very concentrate and do I just add some vegetable water to make the gravy enough to go round?

Yes it is reduced, but their is a limit point to where the replacement of water would overwhelm the flavor.

^ glen ^ ^muffler dent^ | Dec 24, 2008

i dont think its worth making them but thats enough.

use 1 stock cube( veg or chicken) with 450 ml of water (boiled ) with choped spagetie. lovely austiran soup
Martin S | Dec 24, 2008

For gravy from this, just add some more water and a chicken or vegetable bullion cube to add flavor to the now dilluted stock…so it’s got flavor…(don’t add TOO much water…maybe 1.5 cups max)and then in a glass put some of the stock in there–add a little worcestershire sauce…let the stock in the glass cool down. Add now to the cooled stock some flour (3 tablespoons)…stir that into a paste with a fork so there’s no lumps..now turn the heat on under the pan of stock…add the liquidated flour mixture bit by bit…as it thickens…gage how much more to add until it’s to the consistency you desire. It will thicken as you are cooking and continually stirring it.
D. | Dec 24, 2008

Just add it in to your gravy, use evaporated milk and water until you get the taste and consistency you want.

Beer Can Turkey……?

Posted by christianrasmussen1981 on 26th November 2009

I want to do the beer can turkey for my thanksgiving dinner tomorrow. Every recipe I have seen requires the use of a grill. I do not have a grill. So is there a way that I could do the same thing in my oven? If so, could you tell me at what temperature and times (my turkey is about 10-11 lbs). Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Yep, set it up in the roaster and hope you have plenty of room in your oven.

Same as regular roasting. It will tell you on the package, what temp and how long per pound.

can someone help he find some examples in an english poem?
the lady of shalott by alfred tennyson
could someone help me help me find examples of alliteration, allusion, Assonance. Consonance, Imagery, Metaphor, Onomatopoeia, Personification, repetition, Simile, Symbol, Rhyme, Rhythm
Tone/mood, and Vocabulary in this poem

On either side the river lie
Long fields of barley and of rye,
That clothe the wold and meet the sky;
And thro’ the field the road runs by
To many-tower’d Camelot;
And up and down the people go,
Gazing where the lilies blow
Round an island there below,
The island of Shalott.

Willows whiten, aspens quiver,
Little breezes dusk and shiver
Through the wave that runs for ever
By the island in the river
Flowing down to Camelot.
Four grey walls, and four grey towers,
Overlook a space of flowers,
And the silent isle imbowers
The Lady of Shalott.

By the margin, willow veil’d,
Slide the heavy barges trail’d
By slow horses; and unhail’d
The shallop flitteth silken-sail’d
Skimming down to Camelot:
But who hath seen her wave her hand?
Or at the casement seen her stand?
Or is she known in all the land,
The Lady of Shalott?

Only reapers, reaping early,
In among the bearded barley
Hear a song that echoes cheerly
From the river winding clearly;
Down to tower’d Camelot;
And by the moon the reaper weary,
Piling sheaves in uplands airy,
Listening, whispers, " ‘Tis the fairy
Lady of Shalott."

There she weaves by night and day
A magic web with colours gay.
She has heard a whisper say,
A curse is on her if she stay
To look down to Camelot.
She knows not what the curse may be,
And so she weaveth steadily,
And little other care hath she,
The Lady of Shalott.

And moving through a mirror clear
That hangs before her all the year,
Shadows of the world appear.
There she sees the highway near
Winding down to Camelot;
There the river eddy whirls,
And there the surly village churls,
And the red cloaks of market girls
Pass onward from Shalott.

Sometimes a troop of damsels glad,
An abbot on an ambling pad,
Sometimes a curly shepherd lad,
Or long-hair’d page in crimson clad
Goes by to tower’d Camelot;
And sometimes through the mirror blue
The knights come riding two and two.
She hath no loyal Knight and true,
The Lady of Shalott.

But in her web she still delights
To weave the mirror’s magic sights,
For often through the silent nights
A funeral, with plumes and lights
And music, went to Camelot;
Or when the Moon was overhead,
Came two young lovers lately wed.
"I am half sick of shadows," said
The Lady of Shalott.

A bow-shot from her bower-eaves,
He rode between the barley sheaves,
The sun came dazzling thro’ the leaves,
And flamed upon the brazen greaves
Of bold Sir Lancelot.
A red-cross knight for ever kneel’d
To a lady in his shield,
That sparkled on the yellow field,
Beside remote Shalott.

The gemmy bridle glitter’d free,
Like to some branch of stars we see
Hung in the golden Galaxy.
The bridle bells rang merrily
As he rode down to Camelot:
And from his blazon’d baldric slung
A mighty silver bugle hung,
And as he rode his armor rung
Beside remote Shalott.

All in the blue unclouded weather
Thick-jewell’d shone the saddle-leather,
The helmet and the helmet-feather
Burn’d like one burning flame together,
As he rode down to Camelot.
As often thro’ the purple night,
Below the starry clusters bright,
Some bearded meteor, burning bright,
Moves over still Shalott.

His broad clear brow in sunlight glow’d;
On burnish’d hooves his war-horse trode;
From underneath his helmet flow’d
His coal-black curls as on he rode,
As he rode down to Camelot.
From the bank and from the river
He flashed into the crystal mirror,
"Tirra lirra," by the river
Sang Sir Lancelot.

She left the web, she left the loom,
She made three paces through the room,
She saw the water-lily bloom,
She saw the helmet and the plume,
She look’d down to Camelot.
Out flew the web and floated wide;
The mirror crack’d from side to side;
"The curse is come upon me," cried
The Lady of Shalott.

In the stormy east-wind straining,
The pale yellow woods were waning,
The broad stream in his banks complaining.
Heavily the low sky raining
Over tower’d Camelot;
Down she came and found a boat
Beneath a willow left afloat,
And around about the prow she wrote
The Lady of Shalott.

And down the river’s dim expanse
Like some bold seer in a trance,
Seeing all his own mischance —
With a glassy countenance
Did she look to Camelot.
And at the closing of the day
She loosed the chain, and down she lay;
The broad stream bore her far away,
The Lady of Shalott.

Lying, robed in snowy white
That loosely flew to left and right —
The leaves upon her falling light —
Thro’ the noises of the night,
She floated down to Camelot:
And as

Albert Pujols win NL MVP in unanimous vote. Your thoughts?

Posted by christianrasmussen1981 on 25th November 2009

What can be said? Congrats to him & to yesterday’s winner Joe Mauer.

Congrats. He was very deserving and an obvious choice. Best hitter in baseball and good defender.
Michael Q | Nov 24, 2009

i guess they thought he was the best.
Keith | Nov 24, 2009

Mauer should have won unanimous but some idiot voted for Miguel Cabrera.
cuzziman84 | Nov 24, 2009

He’s a great choice. Smart vote. Great leadership, tremendous hitter, and overall great player
Franklin | Nov 24, 2009

Should have been two unanimous MVP’s but obviously they picked the right player.
David | Nov 24, 2009

He certainly deserved it.
survivor | Nov 24, 2009

Congrats to Pujols!

Best hitter and arguably the best defensive first basemen in baseball.
Joe B | Nov 24, 2009

Hanley Ramirez was more deserving in my eyes. Hanley hit .342, had an OBP of .410, slugged .543 and had an OPS of .954. He played in 151 games and was 3 hits shy of 200, and had 24 homers with 106 RBIs. He did all of that in a pitcher friendly park at the shortstop position for a crappy team in the NL East, which a MUCH tougher division than the Central. Also, he did that with nowhere near the line-up Pujols had. Hanley should have gotten it, but the voters are idiotic and don’t even pay attention to baseball. It’s become a freaking popularity contest.
Dylan | Nov 24, 2009

Congrats, another no brainer, but how the hell Mauers wasn’t unanimous is beyond me!!!
The Sophisticated One | Nov 24, 2009

I would only have been surprised if Pujols DIDN’T get all the votes.
the kid | Nov 24, 2009

They got it right.
mattapan26 | Nov 24, 2009

They definitely deserved it
Giants Fan! | Nov 24, 2009

Yeah he deserved it. I don’t really like Pujols that much tho. They keep going on and on about him. He is becoming a sellout
Kave Dast | Nov 24, 2009

Best hitter in baseball right now and has been for quite a few years. One of the best ever. I just hope nothing comes down in the future about him taking steroids or performance enhancing drugs. So far no evidence of that and good for him. Definitely deserves the MVP.
Mark M | Nov 24, 2009

Congrats Albert. He deserved it.
and Congrats to Joe.

It turned out the way it was predicted to, of course Albert ran away with the MVP, no surprise.
Jenn Brewers ? Packers Girl | Nov 24, 2009

Both Mauer and Pujols were the obvious, but deserving choices. Congrats to the players themselves and all their fans, they had a fantastic season.
Sarah | Nov 24, 2009

Yeah i agree, its obvious ..nothing much to say but a giveaway award by the time august came .
::Andrew::(Go Pats):: | Nov 24, 2009

It was definitely a given. The guy led in pretty much every category. He 100% deserved MVP.
EMC<3333GoYankees! | Nov 24, 2009

Not much to be said. Pujols was the favorite to win the award a long time ago. Congrats to Pujols and Mauer, both deserving.
T-Kane | Nov 24, 2009

He flat out deserved it, so I can see why it was unanimous. Congrats to Pujols & Mauer, they had great seasons! :)

A quesiton about the upcoming HBO 10 Episode Mini Series "The Pacific"?
ok. i posted a question about 10 minutes ago about this so i just decided to change the "headline" thing to see if someoen would open this that wouldnt open the other one.

ok. does anybody know when The Pacific will be airing on HBO?

and then does anybody know when it will be released for DVD?

for anybody who doesnt know waht im talking about, The Pacific is gonna be a true story during WWII, mini series about a company during the war.

they same people who are making this made Band of Brothers (it was also about WWII but it was focused on Easy Company. an airborne divisin who dropped into Normandy)

The Pacific is being produced by Steven Spielberg, Tom Hanks, and Gary Goetzman in association with HBO Films, Playtone, Dreamworks, and Seven Network.[4] Seven invested in the project for the right to broadcast it in Australia.[5] Nine Network has previously broadcast the HBO productions of The Sopranos and Band of Brothers. Nine had a broadcast deal with HBO’s parent Warner Bros., but then HBO started to distribute its own productions separately.[6]
