Back to the old ways, South Africa and the world?
Have you noticed that all the people who always mock traditional Christian values are usually the same ones who complain about the results of the lack of that selfsame morality. I must confess, I went through an adolescent phase when I thought it was all a load of rubbish, as teenagers do, but now I see that perhaps there was wisdom in the old ways afterall.
Now we have a complete lack of discipline in schools, the traditional family becoming a rarity, brothers and sisters demanding the right to marry, children being made in laboratories to gay couples, human-animal monster clones being made in test-tubes, the streets filled with drugs, perversion, crime and filth, war, famine and pestilence due to the worship of materialism and the selfish pursuit of Mamon,…… are these people happy? I remember when there was drought in South Africa and the old president ordered us all to pray for rain, we did, and it rained. That was when our country had some spine!

Lee J- it is because of badly-educated morons like you that South Africa is in the state she is in. For a start your statistics are wrong, 79% of South Africa is black, you ignore the coloured people, the Indians and the others completely and turn this into a black and white issue. Secondly, the reference to praying for rain was a reference to the 1970’s when you were probably not even born.
Your racism oozes out of everything you say. As for the sports, well, what a clever excuse you provide for the Bafana’s sad failing recently. How come they won the African Nations Cup in 1996 then? Only two years into democracy…. Excuses are for losers and you certainly are one big racist loser. I love my counrty and all of her people and people like you are her worst enemy- badly educated, ignorant, aggressive and racially prejudiced. It’s quite sad how people like Lee J can’t come up with any GOOD reasons. They keep using the same old kak! The world is sick of it and so am I..!!
What makes Africa is the land and the people who can actually get on with each other! The people who can work together like praying for rain! People who have respect for one another and can think further than their own noses, people with common sense!
When will people wake up and smell the coffee? We were all put on this earth to make a different for the better not to destroy our beautiful Motherland!! We only have ourselves to blame for letting the world get to this stage, I hope God can forgive us all for not standing up and protecting her from people like Lee J who like you said MJ are her worst enemy- badly educated, ignorant, aggressive and racially prejudiced.
As for your question, I wish the "old" days would be brought back, maybe just maybe then we will actually have a somewhat stable environment for our kids and their kids. What ever happened to the little thing called discipline? I don’t even want to think what the world will be like in 20 years time if people keep acting the way they do. The world is lacking in common sense and brain cells! Must be from all the dagga they been smoking!!

It is like everything goes, these days all in the name of freedom, tolerance, human rights out of control, and Political Correctness.
We have been painted into a corner by people who lacked the foresight to see the consequences of their own insane vision and now we are paying the price, the world is on the verge of the third world war and everything is upside down.

Brothers and sisters cannot marry, it does not work for horses, how is it going to work for humans. Our government is not christians, they will never pray. I have never seen Thabo pray for anything.

We have lack of discipline in schools and homes, because parents and teachers are no longer allowed to punish children. The traditional family is becoming a rarity, because of high divorce rates, families splitting up and moving apart because of job opportunities, and women demanding equal rights. I am completely against test tube babies, etc. because that is God’s job. Not man’s.
In short, I agree with you. We are fast going backwards.
If you mean by old ways that people should turn back to the church and God, then yes, I agree with you. God is the only one who can save us all, SA and the rest of the world, now.

Small consolation or perhaps no consolation at all but the whole world seems to have the same problem Emjay. Kids over here, speak just as badly as kids over there and have even less respect for people. A war vet upstairs from me was beaten up for his pension cheque by a bunch of bad mouthed kids just for something to do. Grrrrrrrrrr. I spent my life taking care of war vets and it really ticks me off. Kids over here get passing grades at school because failing might traumatize them!!! Guess what failing as an adult will do – probably turn them into criminals and we will end up like the States building more and more jails and prisons. I am glad I am on my way out and not just arriving because I do not know what the answer is. Well I do , but I do not know how to get the powers that be to institute it. Find an answer for that and I will be on that bandwagon so fast it will turn your hair curly.
