No animal should be in captivity. But, since humans are encroaching into the wild so much, it may be the only way that anyone will ever see them. Also, by having animals captive, it may spur some scientific study into how to protect them better in the wild etc. So, no, it is not ideal, but sometimes it is necessary.
I don’t find them being taught tricks for food very scientific or particularly entertaining. However, it is sadly ironic that this form of entertainment is used to raise money for scientific projects to help the animals in the wild.

Christians, do you believe that God intervenes and/or performs miracles on a daily basis?
PLEASE READ! I am aware of precisely what the Bible appears to say about this subject. But in my life I find it very hard to presume that God has shown me favor in that I haven’t died in a car accident yet, been crushed in an earthquake, drowned in a tsunami, or gone bankrupt. Don’t get me wrong I am extremely thankful for my life circumstances and give thanks daily, but with so much suffering and so many atrocities and horrible accidents I can’t presume to hold God responsible for my apparent fortune and if I am to, I also MUST accept that he deliberately tolerates/ allows the bad and unjust. I do rejoice in my "blessings" but is it always accurate to assume something apparently good is in fact good or will result in the greater good?
I may narrowly escape the path of a drunk driver today only for him to mow over someone just like me and perhaps someone who hasn’t yet accepted Jesus. Is it wise and/or accurate to assume (or know) that God intervenes in our lives? Does God perform indeniable post-Biblical miracles in certain peoples lives? Is it fair to provide certain individuals with this revelation? Is it necessary to feel this is indeniably true (not possible I know it’s possible)?, or can faith be based in different or a variety of sources?

Jaws 2 (1978) IMDB rating: 5.50 Plot: The small island resort town of Amity is trying to bounce back from the financial problems it had after becoming known as the site of shark attacks four years ago. Two scuba divers are exploring the area where the Orca sank after police chief Martin Brody killed a huge shark four years ago. A shark shows up and kills the two divers, but not before one of the divers takes a close-up picture of the shark’s eye, and sometime later, while a mother is driving a boat that’s pulling her water-skiing teenage daughter, the shark kills the daughter and causes the mother to accidentally blow up the boat, then a killer whale is found on the shore with a huge bite on it. After Brody sees this, he knows there’s another huge great white shark in Amity’s waters, but Vaughn and Peterson explain these attacks away as non-shark accidents, because the thought of another shark in Amity’s waters would drive tourists away from the new resort and cause the new resort to lose money. It looks like Vaughn is still a mayor who puts money ahead of people’s lives. Brody tips his gun’s hollow point bullets with cyanide and melted candle wax and tells his sons Michael and Sean to stay away from the beaches and tells them to not go sailing with Mike’s friends, who include Vaughn’s son Larry Vaughn Jr. Everyone thinks Brody’s fears are shark trauma-induced paranoia. Brody even tries to call his friend Matt Hooper, who is doing research on a boat in the Antarctic Circle, and Matt will be in the Antarctic Circle for a few more months. While keeping an eye on the waters from the beach’s shark tower, Brody sees a huge dark spot in the water and rings the tower’s alarm bell, but it turns out to be a school of bluefish. Vaughn fires Brody for causing this panic at the beach and scaring tourists and their money away, and even though they were told not to, Michael and Sean go out sailing with Junior Vaughn and their friends, unaware that the shark is trailing them. ok i bought this stuff (Clearasil Stayclear Vanishing Acne Treatment Cream) yesterday and used it last night i couldnt figure out wat to do wit it cus the instructions wernt clear! ugh this is wat they say:
~cleanse the skin thoroughly before applying medication
~cover the entire effected area wit a tin layer one to three times a day
~becuase excessive drying of the skin may occur, start with one application daily, then gradually increase to two or three times daily if needed or as dircred by a doctor. If bothersome dryness or peeling occur, reduce application to once a day or every other day
~IF GOING OUTSIDE USE A SUNSCREAN. allow clearasil vanishing acne treatment cream to dry then follow directions in sunscrean labeling. If sensitivity develops, dicontinue use of both products and consult a doctor

now the problem is i dont now how to use it the instructions arnt clear to me! do i put it on and leave it? will it dry? do i rub it in like lotion? do i wash it off? i used it last night at my mom said just to leave it so i went to bed wit it on… and some of it went into my skin and some just flacked on my skin.. and i washed it of in the morning.. was i doing it rite and just had a bit to much in those spot? I am a 21 year old male. I have just had to resign from my internship position as I suffered extreme depression and anxiety. Looking back at it, I was unable to understand what was being said to me and where to go from there. I have severe writing and verbal disabilities despite being offered the internship (i am ok at interviews).

I believe I have some sort of congition problem. Often people say I’m ‘quiet’ and ask ‘if i am ok’ but for the sake of god I wish I had something to say. It’s like my brain has nothing to say at all and it’s just an empty space. Secondly I have very low motivation. When I walk, all I think about is putting one foot in front of the other and nothing comes to my head.

I can’t remember what I studied for the last 3 years. I can’t remember the logic behind anything. I can’t experience any pleasure in sex and my girflriend thinks its her fault because she isn’t tight enough, although I ahve had the same problem before and even sex toys I can’t experience anything. When I have sex I can’t even get the full thrust movement going like you see in pornos etc..

My whole life I have lived in isolation (my parents were always working and I had no body to talk to – so I ended up playing runescape, a computer game for X amount of years).

As you can tell I’m writing like a child, well that’s what I feel like a child. When I walk past a highschool it feels as though I should be going there.

I studied accounting and I can’t even think what I studied. People think I am shy, although I know I’m just messed in the head. I have done some research online and have linked my disability to these criteria:

1.Unaccountable difficulty with carrying out what are usually considered "automatic" or "mundane" self-care tasks for healthy people (i.e., without depressive illness), such as taking a shower, putting on clothes, self-grooming, preparing food, brushing teeth and exercising.
2.Real physical difficulty performing activities that normally would require little thought or effort, such as walking up a flight of stairs, getting out of bed, preparing meals and clearing dishes from the table, household chores, returning phone calls, etc.
3.Tasks requiring mobility suddenly or gradually and inexplicably seem to be "impossible". Activities such as shopping, getting groceries, caring for the daily needs of one’s children, and meeting the demands pertaining to employment or school are commonly affected. Individuals experiencing these symptoms typically sense that something is wrong, and may be confused over their inability to perform these tasks.
4.Activities usually requiring little mental effort can become challenging. Balancing one’s checkbook, making a shopping list, making decisions about mundane tasks, (such as deciding what errands need to be done) are often difficult.

If anyone could offer some assistance and post relevant youtube videos that I can take to my psychiatrist that will be great. I am also on effexor-xr which is an anti-depreseant that I ahve been taking for the last month although I am not getting any benefits from it.

What you need literally is change. Either around new people, or a new place. It’s very hard to get out of "depression mode" but I went through it and got over it, and when I noticed myself slipping back into it I took notice of how I was feeling in "depression mode", and how I was feeling in "healthy/normal mode". When you’re depressed, like you described you feel like you’re just concentrating on everything that’s coming at you. Instead of doing that, concentrate on everything you’re coming AT. And to do that, you have to actually get out and do things and feel in control with your life. Have confidence! Action brings confidence.
Even if it’s a slow time, remember that especially since slow times can bring on depression more. Focus on everything you’re coming AT instead of what’s coming at you. & stay busy. You are probably bored out of your mind and that’s why you’re depressed. Find something you love to do and stick with it! You need a passion in life.
